Disney magic met the baking aisle with licensed Nightmare Before Christmas kits and character-themed sprinkle mixes. Sold in Walmart for two years, the brownie, cookie, and drink kits achieved an impressive 92% sell-through rate. The collection also expanded to Amazon with Mickey Mouse and Inside Out sprinkle mixes, bringing playful, branded baking experiences to more consumers.

MY ROLE

Led product design, packaging development, and brand collaboration to bring Disney-licensed baking kits and sprinkle mixes to mass retail and eCommerce.

 

THE PROCESS

  • Brand Collaboration: Worked within Disney’s licensing guidelines to create packaging and product designs that captured the essence of Nightmare Before Christmas, Mickey Mouse, and Inside Out while maintaining strong shelf presence.

  • Product Development & Design: Designed Nightmare Before Christmas brownie, cookie, and drink kits with eye-catching visuals and engaging consumer experiences. Developed Mickey Mouse and Inside Out sprinkle mixes tailored for the eCommerce market.

  • Retail Strategy & Execution: Optimized packaging and product appeal for Walmart’s in-store retail environment while ensuring Amazon listings stood out in the online marketplace.

 

THE OUTCOME

The Nightmare Before Christmas kits performed exceptionally in Walmart, selling for two consecutive years with a 92% sell-through rate. The sprinkle mixes successfully launched on Amazon, expanding the brand’s reach and reinforcing the demand for Disney-branded baking products.
