PET BAKING MIXES

With the pet treat industry booming and pet owners increasingly seeking safe, high-quality homemade treat options, we saw a gap in the market for baking mixes specifically designed for pets. We set out to create Pawstry Shop, a fun and approachable brand offering pet-friendly baking mixes that allowed pet parents to make fresh, nutritious treats at home.

MY ROLE

I led art direction, development testing, consumer testing, project management, and branding to bring Pawstry Shop to life.

 

THE PROCESS

  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Conducted extensive research on the pet treat industry and identified a rising demand for homemade pet treats with clean, simple ingredients.

  • Product Development & Testing: Collaborated with food scientists and veterinarians to ensure our recipes were nutritionally sound, pet-safe, and easy to use for consumers.

  • Branding & Packaging: Worked with the graphic designer to create a warm, inviting, and pet-friendly aesthetic that differentiated Pawstry Shop from traditional pet treats while reinforcing homemade quality. We also sought out to illustrate allowing us to get to market in a timely manner.

  • Retail & E-Commerce Strategy: Positioned Pawstry Shop for Amazon success, optimizing packaging and listings to appeal to pet owners seeking DIY treats.

 

THE OUTCOME

Pawstry Shop pet baking mixes performed well on Amazon, gaining traction among pet owners and receiving positive customer feedback. Due to its success, we are looking to expand the line by developing three additional mixes, further solidifying Pawstry Shop as a go-to brand for pet-friendly baking.
