Whimsy Cookie Co approached us to optimize their royal icing product and develop new cookie mixes. Our goal was to elevate the brand, refine product performance, and create a cohesive market presence.

MY ROLE

I led art direction, development testing, consumer testing, project management, and client collaboration, ensuring Whimsy’s products were both visually and functionally appealing to consumers.

 

THE PROCESS

  • Client Collaboration: Worked closely with Whimsy Cookie Co to understand their vision and refine their product offerings.

  • Product Development & R&D: Improved the royal icing formula for better consistency and usability. Developed new cookie mixes tailored to Whimsy’s brand and consumer expectations.

  • Branding & Packaging: Directed an elevated, cohesive brand identity that enhanced shelf appeal and aligned with Whimsy’s playful, premium aesthetic.

  • Marketing & Positioning: Conducted tests to determine the most desirable flavors and launched with those first to maximize appeal.

 

THE OUTCOME

The revamped product line performed well in craft retailers and on Amazon, leading to the development of three additional mixes. The success of this collaboration introduced Whimsy Cookie Co’s position in the baking mix market and opened opportunities for future product innovation.
